School Council
School Council is the governing body of the school. It comprises elected parents and school staff who are representatives of the school community. The School Council meets throughout the year to discuss future directions for the school and oversee operations.
The School Council operates a committee structure with membership made up of School Councillors, Staff and other interested parents. They meet regularly to make recommendations to the School Council.
The committees are Finance, Facilities, Education and Fundraising. School Council positions are occupied for a two-year term with half the Council up for re-election each year. School Council has the capacity to co-opt a community member.
At Aspendale Gardens we have a twelve member Council comprising of four staff, which includes the Principal as the Executive Officer and eight parent members.
